What People Are Saying

“We had such a fantastic and fruitful time at LCKG! All of the adults that went were talking about the experience really positively. The children in my class had a super time and have been talking about it all afternoon.”

YR & Y5/6, Lynsted & Norton Primary Sch Visit

“Thank you so much for the wonderful few hours we spent with you guys this morning. We both enjoyed our visit immensely, you gave us all such a friendly welcome and made the experience relaxing, friendly and informative, the tone was just right.”

“You've given us both a great deal of inspiration, even to the point of considering starting our own village kitchen community garden ….”

Open Day Attendee

“Wow, what a community can achieve when working together”
Open Day attendee

“ I learnt how to grow various plants and how to pick them. I also learnt what you have to do to make plants thrive and grow, In addition, I gained a lot of knowledge which I was not expecting to learn.”

Open Day attendee

“We met many of the volunteers who were full of enthusiasm for the project. It just shows how a community project can benefit society as a whole - reducing carbon footprint, producing and eating local produce, recycling of materials, improving mental health are just a few of the benefits that spring to mind. The project organisers and team are open to all ideas, embracing new concepts and adapting to the demands and restrictions of today’s society."

Lynsted Community Kitchen Garden, Great Big Green Week Event Attendee

“I also learnt how the No Dig approach is so good for the environment.”

"I will be talking to people in my local area about setting up a similar project"
